Day 32

It's two days after the Great Reclaiming and things are going well for my people.

A new island emerges from the ashes of the old, burnt in the quick flame of reform. From the  ruins of an industry that too quickly grew too advanced to control, from the shambles of an economy that only consumed and didn't provide, from the ragtag bunches of an army whose exploits on the field brought shame to the flag they carried - from all these the New Island emerged.

Focus was shifted from the bleeding edge technologies to the more traditional industries like pinewood harvesting and brewing.
Mining expensive materials brought nothing but ruin to the already trembling mining branch. Post-reform, mining is exclusively focused on materials with immediate use like copper ore and gold.

Marble and stone are going as strong as ever as little improvements could be made to this part of the economy. As a mid-term plan an upgrade for the masons could be an option but we have to wait until all our geologist finish their studies and learn how to find the really rich marble spots, otherwise upgrading will do more harm than good.

In the People's Island everything is going well now. A battle-weary population is finally getting some time to recover and although our war against the mongrels still plaguing our Island under the command of the wretched Mary is by no means at an end - now we can afford the proper equipment of our glorious army and although recruit casualties would still exist there will be a significant drop-off in the number of KIA's from the regular army.

Long live the Glorious 5-day plan!
